In early 2010, the GMBPCD Board unanimously voted to improve business services to all of Alger County by relaunching a new and improved Alger County Chamber of Commerce. With heavy focus on an improved and more efficient web presence and web based services, the Alger County Chamber of Commerce will more effectively serve the business community. The Alger County Chamber of Commerce is governed by the members of the GMBPCD Board.
About the Director:
Char Carberry was brought on board as Executive Director to improve and grow the business services the Alger County business community can utilize through the Alger County Chamber of Commerce and GMBPCD. Char has a strong love for the Munising and Alger County area and has been working diligently to discuss past, current and potential issues within the business community. In an effort to maintain the momentum and growth of the newly launched Alger County Chamber of Commerce, Char is always available and ready to discuss issues with members or non-members interested in learning how the Chamber can assist with business challenges.
All organizations face challenges. At the Alger County Chamber of Commerce, we prefer to face challenges head on, and with the collective wit of our business community. We believe that a strong region builds strong communities, and our focus on communication and positive energy is always a top priority. We would not exist without the support of our business community and ask, each and every day, that we all do our best to communicate issues directly for a fast and efficient resolution. This approach will allow us to not only grow together, but to sustain this growth for generations to come. Let's build this Chamber together!
